I have been working at Catalyst Care Group for three years. Prior to joining Catalyst, I worked in various roles across the care sector.
I started working as a volunteer for a charity, developing horticultural skills for persons with mental health issues whilst also being a listening volunteer for the Samaritans.
After graduating from university, I decided to travel, where I taught English in a rural Cambodian school before moving to Sydney, where I looked after a young autistic boy.
Once I returned, I began working as a support worker in residential and supported living homes before becoming an assistant psychologist.
I continued working as an assistant psychologist at an autism specialist secondary school. From here, I became a home manager for a residential home for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
From here, I decided to go back and study for my master’s in applied Behavior Analysis to pursue a career as a behaviour analyst.
My passion is encouraging people to develop new skills to improve their quality of life. I greatly advocate for reducing restrictive practices and using innovative and creative approaches instead.
