I am Dan, I am a PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Principal Instructor. I have worked at Catalyst since March 2023.
I have over 20 years of experience in the Health & Social Care sector, working alongside adults and children, specialising in ASD and learning disabilities. I became a PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Instructor in 2016 and have been fortunate enough to train teams within 3 very different organisations.
My extensive knowledge and of experience has enabled me to both implement and train PROACT-SCIPr-UK® in a wide variety of settings.
Previous roles as a Team Leader, Deputy Manager and Support Manager, allow me to give real life experience to the Clinicians that I train. I achieved my Diploma in Leadership for health and social care and children and young people services level 5 in 2019 and this gives me a strong foundation for all aspects of my role.
As an enthusiastic and passionate person, I use my initiative-taking approach, to deliver and maintain high levels within my role. Always using a supportive and dynamic style to deliver person centred training.
The role of a PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Principal Instructor, as I see it, goes beyond training staff to manage crisis situations. It is about creating an organisational culture that values prevention, ethical intervention, and individual empowerment. It’s about shaping a safe and supportive environment where both staff and people we support thrive.
