Clara Lowther

PBS Practitioner

With over 8 years of experience working in both care and educational settings, I am dedicated to supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities (LD), and complex emotional needs. My practice is rooted in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on supporting people who present with behaviours of concern and have experienced complex emotional trauma.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Sport Sociology, a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, and a Level 3 in Residential Childcare, along with training in PACE therapeutic approaches. These qualifications support my commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes emotional safety, empowerment, and dignity.

I have extensive knowledge and practical expertise in:

  • Behaviours of concern & de-escalation strategies
  • Autism, ADHD, and neurodiversity
  • Complex emotional trauma and attachment difficulties
  • Nurturing, relational approaches to trauma
  • Emotionally intelligent communication & co-regulation

Above all, I am passionate about developing trusting relationships and advocating for the rights, voices, and well-being of the people I support.
