This year’s BILD PBS Conference, held on 13 -14 May at the Crowne Plaza in Newcastle and streamed online, brought together people from across the UK and beyond to explore what Positive Behaviour Support looks like in action today- and where it’s heading next.

We were proud to see Ben Andrew take centre stage on Day 2 with his workshop “Pushing Care into the 21st Century with Multimedia.” Ben’s session offered a clear, practical look at how multimedia can be part of everyday care – bringing creativity and communication to the heart of support.

Further, it drew a diverse and engaged audience- including people who travelled from other countries to attend. That in itself speaks volumes about the relevance and growing recognition of multimedia as a powerful, practical tool in contemporary care and support services.

Ben reflected:

“Another great day- thanks so much to all those who attended my workshop. I hope it demonstrated just how dynamic and creative we can be in our sector, giving people a true voice, authentic person-centred care, and meaningful Positive Behaviour Support. Huge thanks to everyone at BILD for this opportunity. Such an amazing event. Extra thanks to Sarah Leitch for inviting me.”

His session showed what happens when we blend compassion with innovation- when we give people the tools to tell their own stories, and ensure their voices are seen, heard, and felt.

We’re incredibly proud of Ben and grateful to see his passion and practice gaining the attention it truly deserves. The interest shown by attendees from across the globe only reinforces what we believe: that multimedia isn’t just a creative extra- it’s a necessary part of modern care.
