I’m Steve, and I have worked in social care for 24 years in various roles. It was never meant to be a long-term career, but I soon found I loved it. Every day was different, often challenging as well as joyful.
I began as a support worker in residential and education teams before moving to behaviour support roles in 2011. I also studied at the University of Kent from 2012 to 2016 while working.
I have experience in multidisciplinary working, needs assessment and complex transition planning., as well as supporting people to get the life they want and deserve through person-centred approaches and positive risk-taking.
At home, I love spending time with my partner, 12-year-old son and our rescue dog. I live on the coast in Devon and love playing outdoors, exploring, and camping with friends and family.
